Lukashenko orders new premier to form government before January 1

The government of Belarus must be formed before the New Year, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko said during the appointment of the premier and vice-premier in Minsk on Tuesday, RIA Novosti reports.


Mikhail Myasnikovich, head of the National Academy of Sciences, became the prime minister. The former government was headed by Sergey Sidorsky since 2003.
