The president of Iran, Mahmud Ahmadinejad, wished all Christians of the world a Happy New Year. In his speech, Ahmadinejad wished good luck and prosperity in the next year to Christians of Iran and of other countries in the world. He also addressed representatives of other major religions, Trend reports.
The president stated that if humanity strives to solve all its political, economic, humanitarian and social problems, it should follow the testaments of ancient prophets.
A few days ago the parliament of Iran wished a Merry Christmas to the Christian world. The members of the parliament emphasized that Jesus is a symbol of love, friendship and kindness. Islam accepts that Jesus (Isa) and Moses (Musa) were God's prophets.
