Curfew introduced in Karachay-Cherkessia for teenagers

Deputies of the Karachay-Cherkessia Parliament on April 22nd passed a law “On preventive measures against child neglect and underage delinquency in KCR”, Interfax reports.


The law forbids children under 7 to be in public places without adult supervision. Children from 7-14 will require adult supervision in public places from 21:00 to 06:00. Teenagers from 14 and up require adult supervision from 22:00 to 06:00.


The law also makes parents and guardians legally responsible for their children visiting places where press and audio products promoting violence and cruelty, pornography, drug addiction, toxic addiction and antisocial behavior are displayed. They will also be forbidden to visit places where alcohol is consumed.
