Armenian Defense Minister Seyran Oganyan signed a decree on Monday
dismissing Colonel Sergey Karapetyan, head of a military base in
Tavush Region, and two other officers, Oganyan's press secretary David
Karapetyan told News Armenia.
An incident occurred between Col. Sergey Karapetyan and several
civilians at a control post in the Idzhevan District of Tavush Region
on December 31 at 22.00 (Moscow time).
Taron Yengibaryan, aged 20, was hospitalized at the Grigor Lusavorich
medical center, where he died.
A criminal case was initiated based on part 3 of article 258 of the
Armenian Criminal Code (Hooliganism).
