The Strasbourg Court has closed almost half of the suits against
Georgia related to the events in 2008, due to lack of information from
the claimant, an official of the court’s press-service told RIA
Novosti.
The court closed 1549 of over 3,300 cases against Georgia.
According to procedure, the court filed two requests for more
information but received no answers. The 37th article of the European
Convention on Human Rights initiated the closing of the cases.
