Strasbourg halts legal actions by S.Ossetia against Georgia

The European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg (ECHR) has ceased the
legal procedures regarding almost half of the cases against Georgia
initiated by the South Ossetians after the war in South Ossetia in
2008. The cases were thrown out due to a failure of the claimants to
provide the Court with the necessary information, RIA Novosti reports
referring to the spokesman of the court.

The residents of South Ossetia have addressed more than three thousand
individual complaints against Georgia to the Strasbourg Court.
