A Eurasian forum devoted to the results of 20 years of independent development of the post-Soviet republics was opened today in Astana, Kazakhstan.
The assembled experts are going to discuss the main achievements and problems of the last 20 years, the experience of the former Soviet republics, the issues of integration in the region, and the global
economy.
The forum is being attended by representatives of Kazakhstan's ruling polical party, members of the country's Parliament and prominent scientists from Russia, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Ukraine, and Israel.
The editor-in-chief of Vestnik Kavkaza, Dr. Alexey Vlasov, and the head of the Center for Caucasian Studies at the Russian State University for the Humanities, Dr. Ismail Agakishiev, are also taking
part in the forum.
