A commission of the Prosecutor General's Office has revealed 1,500
illegal refusals to initiate criminal cases or the halting of
investigations at the Kushevskaya District in Kuban, where 12 people
were murdered in November 2010, RIA Novosti reports, citing the
Russian Prosecutor General Yuri Chaika.
Chaika said that 242 criminal cases were concealed by the police. The
investigation is also considering initiation of 10 cases on missing
people.
12 burned bodies, including bodies of 4 children, were found at a
farmer's house in Kushevskaya on November 5. Media say that the
village was under criminal suppression for many years.
Russian President Dmitry Medvedev ordered on Governor Tkachyov and the
authorized representative to the Southern Federal District Vladimir
Ustinov on December 2 to find the people responsible for the murder.
