A visa-free regime between Georgia and Iran will come into force on
January 26, 2011, News Georgia cites the press-service of the Georgian
Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The agreement allows Iranian citizens in Georgia and Georgian citizens
in Iran to stay for 45 days. The citizens will also be allowed to use
transit crossing points.
The agreement on the visa-free regime was signed by the two countries
on November 3, 2010 in Tbilisi. The document was signed by the
Georgian Minister of Foreign Affairs Grigol Vashadze and his Iranian
counterpart Manouchehr Mottaki.
