Lavrov confirms trilateral talks on Nagorno-Karabakh in January

Russian Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergey Lavrov confirmed on
Thursday that the ministers of foreign affairs of Azerbaijan, Armenia
and Russia will have a trilateral meeting in January.

Vestnik Kavkaza had reported earlier that the latest meeting on
settlement of Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno-Karabakh conflict was held
within the Council of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the CIS in
Moscow in early December, after the OSCE summit in Astana.

However, there were no declarations made after the meeting, leading to
doubts among experts that the talks would be fruitful.

The new talks are expected to determine the features of the
negotiation process in the new year and take into account the
peculiarities of its current state.
