Georgian President Mikhail Saakashvili, who has travelled to the US in
order to participate in a ceremony in memory of the American diplomat
Richard Holbrooke, will meet on Friday with President Obama and
vice-president Joseph Biden, RIA Novosti reports, referring to the
television channel Imedi.
Richard Holbrooke, US special envoy to Afghanistan and Pakistan, died
in a hospital on the 13th of December from an aortic rupture.
According to the press service of the State Department and the White
House, the farewell ceremony will be held in the capital's Kennedy
Center. As expected, it will be attended by Obama and Biden.
