On Saturday Georgia and the Democratic Republic of the Congo signed a joint communique on the establishment of diplomatic relations, Georgia Daily reports.
According to the joint communique, the relations between the two states will be guided by the principles of national sovereignty, respect for territorial integrity and the inviolability of frontiers of sovereign states.
The communique was signed by H.E. Ileka Atoki, Permanent Representative of the Democratic Republic of the Congo to the United Nations and by H.E. Alexander Lomaia, Permanent Representative of Georgia to the United Nations.
