Approximately 1.5 million of various kinds of flowers will decorate
the capital of Armenia this year. The flowers will be planted within
the framework of 'Green Yerevan' program, the city's press-service
reports.
"The greenhouses were built using saved-up finances. You can see over
6,000 flowers here", Yerevan mayor Gagik Beglarian told journalists,
News Armenia reports.
The Armenian capital had a new 3,000 sq m greenhouse built in 2009 -
some 3 times bigger than the old one.
So far 300,000 high-quality seedlings from Holland have been planted,
including pansies and dahlias.
