Dervis Eroglu has become the third president of the Turkish Republic of North Cyprus, replacing Mehmet Ali Talat, 6news reports. Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu participated in Eroglu’s inauguration ceremony.
Earlier, Eroglu spoke about possible negotiations with President of Cyprus Dimitris Christofias.
In an interview to Cyprus Mail, Erutoglu noted that he stood as a candidate to protect Cyprian Turks.
