CSTO offers to help stabilise southern Kyrgyzstan

The secretaries of the Collective Security Treaty Organisation member-states have proposed providing immediate support to the law-enforcement agencies of Kyrgyzstan, RIA Novosti reports, citing the General Secretary of the organization, Nikolay Bordyuzha.

He said that the first help offered will be the technical supply of the Kyrgyz police and army, as there is a serious lack of helicopters, land transport and fuel. The organization will also help with informing the population about the current situation.

The disturbances in Kyrgyzstan will soon be discussed at the level of the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe.
