Mamedyarov: conceptual decision of Armenia is needed for Nagorno-Karabakh settlement

Armenia should make a conceptual decision on the Nagorno-Karabakh problem, the foreign minister of Azerbaijan Elmar Mamedyarov said in Venice on Saturday.

"If there is a conceptual decision on the part of Armenia, the question can begin to be resolved. If not, there will be difficulties"- Interfax-Azerbaijan reports his words.

He pointed out that Azerbaijan was ready to continue working on the basis of the renewed Madrid principles, in order to come a full peace agreement. The OSCE's Minsk Group is expecting a positive attitude to the problem from both sides, he says.Mamedyarov was on a visit to Italy, where he met the co-chairmen of the OSCE Minsk Group.
