Azerbaijan and Egypt sign three agreements

Azerbaijan and Egypt have signed three intergovernmental agreements in
Baku, Egyptian Foreign Minister Ahmed Aboul Gheit said during a joint
press conference with Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov,
reports Trend.

The agreements are devoted to the issues of youth and sport, visa-free
travel for diplomatic representatives and cooperation between the
Azerbaijani Diplomatic Academy and the diplomatic school of Egypt. The
last agreement was signed by Egyptian ambassador to Azerbaijan Sabir
Mansur and head of the Azerbaijan Diplomatic Academy Hafiz Pashayev.
As for the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, the Egyptian Foreign Minister
said that it has to be resolved peacefully.

"The Nagorno-Karabakh conflict should be resolved through
negotiations, taking into consideration the interests of all sides, in
participation with the OSCE Minsk Group," he said.
The Egyptian minister said that his country supports the territorial
integrity of each state in the region. Aboul Gheit also noted he has
discussed the possibility of Azerbaijan joining the UN Security
Council with his Azerbaijani counterpart. He stressed the high level
of political and international cooperation between the countries.
