Exhibition devoted to Azerbaijan opened in European Council

The exhibition "Cultural diversity in Azerbaijan" opened today in the framework of the summer session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE). The exhibition is organized by the State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan, reports Trend.

Movlud Chavushoglu (the head of PACE), Aydin Aliyev (the head of the State Customs Committee), the head of the Azerbaijani delegation in PACE Samed Seidov, the permanent representative of Azerbaijan on the European Council Arif MAmedov, heads of organizations and European deputies participated in the opening of the exhibition.

The examples of cultural heritage confiscated by the customs office of Azerbaijan are prominent, showing the attention which the government of Azerbaijan pays to protection of cultural heritage.

The head of the PACE appreciated the tolerance of the Azerbaijani people and remarked that the exhibition is a good example of this. Aydin Aliyev, the head of the State Customs Committee, said that Azerbaijan is a country which pays much attention to the protection of various religions, cultures and traditions.

The exhibition, will last until June 24th, has become an interesting event for many people.
