Iran will not pull out of non-proliferation treaty - Ahmadinejad

Iranian President Mahmud Ahmadinejad has announced that Iran will remain a member of the IAEA and has no plans to follow North Korea in withdrawing from the Nuclear Non-proliferation Treaty. He also added
that his country can withstand any sanctions imposed by the US and its allies, reports Reuters.

"Sanctions can't stop Iran. We can counter the US and its allies. Of course we do not welcome sanctions, but are not afraid of them either," the Iranian leader said.

Ahmadinejad also said Iran is ready to return to talks on swapping low-enriched uranium for nuclear fuel.

"We are ready to exchange 3.5 uranium for nuclear fuel," he said, reports RIA Novosti.
