The foreign ministers of Turkey and Azerbaijan, Ahmed Davudoglu and Elmar Mamedyarov, held telephone talks before the visit of the Turkish deputy foreign minister, Ferudin Sinirlioglu, to Azerbaijan, the Russian service of TRT reports.
Davudoglu reported to his Azerbaijani colleague the results of the meetings of Sinirlioglu with officials in Yerevan on Wednesday and spoke about the future meeting of the Turkish prime minister, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, and the Armenian president, Serzh Sargsyan in Washington.
The head of the Turkish government is going to Washington next week to participate in the summit on nuclear security, where Serzh Sargsyan will be also present.
Davudoglu also underlined that, during the OBSC meeting between prime minister Erdogan and the French president, much attention had been paid to the conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
