President of Russia arrives in Dagestan

The President of Russia Dmitry Medvedev has arrived in Dagestan.

On the way from airport to city the headmen of the FSB and the MIA – Alexander Bortnikov and Rashid Nyrgaliev - reported on the situation in Dagestan and steps taken to provide security.

At the meeting, taking place in Makhachkala, Medvedev claimed that struggle against terrorism should be more rigorous and preventing throughout the entire world.

“The instruments used in war on terror should be multiplied; they have to be more effective as well as rigorous and preventing. Terrorists must be punished,” – claimed the head of the state, as reports RIA News.

Medvedev pointed out that his call should be heard in all the states which wage war on terror.
