Yerevan's Armenian Medical University to be sold

The Mkhitar Geratsi Yerevan Medical University is to be sold, staff reports, NEWS.am reports.

The head of the university, Goar Kyalyan, took out a huge loan at a bank for repair works and buying new equipment. However, she was unable to pay the loan back Thus, and has to sail the university's buildings, situated in the centre of Yerevan.

The dentistry center has already been sold. Sources didn't comment on the sum of the deal or on the buying party. It is known that in the near future the department for dentistry will move to some other building.

If the information about the loan taken for the university necessities is true, then for whatever reason it was so huge that she couldn't pay it back. The logic of the situation is very strange: to repair one building another should be sold.
