The Dagestani committee for inter-ethnic relations, public affairs and
religious unions has discussed a bill on approving the program on
development of national relations in Dagestan for 2011-2015, RIA
Dagestan reports.
The program is aimed at preserving and strengthening inter-ethnic
peace and consent, unity and friendship, the preservation of languages
and ethno-cultural variety in Dagestan. As a result, the project
expects to create a positive image of the republic in Russia and
abroad.
The project was passed at the 40th session of the People's Assembly in
the first reading and published by media. 30 amendments were
introduced for the 2nd reading, 15 were approved. The committee
decided to put the bill for the next session.
