arrested during disorders after the Iranian presidential elections in
2009, have been executed, the prosecution of Tehran announced,
iribnews.ir reports.
Three other people at Tehran's Evin prison sentenced for rape were
executed. Another execution took place in Karach for the murder of 10
women in 2007.
57 people in Iran sentenced for drug-trafficking and rape were
executed last month.
The UN and Amnesty International have repeatedly demanded that Iran
stop the practice of the death penalty. Human rights activists are
confident that the number of executions in Iran exceeds the official
statistics.
