One out of every ten migrants in Moscow 'illegally'

Every tenth immigrant is in Moscow illegally, the head of the Federal
Migration Services of Moscow, Fedor Karpovets, at a council of
capital's judges, RIA Novosti reports.

According to him, last year the Moscow court took administrative
action against 239 thousand illegal immigrants, which represents 11%
of the total number of visitors.

Karpovets said the main task of the Migration Services is to undermine
the economic basis for illegal migration by eliminating illegal
production centers.
