The League of Georgian Structures in Azerbaijan proposed celebrations
of the Azerbaijani and Georgian Brotherhood Day on February 6. Leader
of the league, Teymuraz Kirimov, said that it is the first time they
will celebrate the day within the league. Many guests will be invited
next year, Trend reports.
The holiday was to be celebrated in Baku, Tbilisi, Ganja, Kutaisi,
Zagatala, Balakyan, Kakheti, Kvemo-Kartli, Batumi, Bakuriani annually
in turns. A high-level Organization Committee was established for the
issue. Kirimov said that there will be diplomas, certificates, rewards
and premiums awarded.
The Leagues of Georgian Structures was founded in 2005 to strengthen
coordination of structures established by the office of Tbilisi mayor
since 1995.
The league opened a free school of Georgian language in Baku. It has
numerous Azerbaijani, Georgian and foreign partners.
