Traffic between the cities of Western and Eastern Georgia is restricted due to heavy snow, Georgia Online reports.
Bus stations at Kutaisi are continuing selling tickets to Tbilisi, but there is no information on departure times.
The car traffic department blames bus stations for traffic problems.
The deputy director of the department, Nugzar Gasviania, said that malfunctioning vehicles are operating, they lack modern equipment for winter, which is why the police forbid them to drive, for safety reasons.
The department says that heavy snow at Rikotsky mountain pass is restricting traffic of vehicles with trailers. Other vehicles may pass if equipped with anti-skid chains.
