Today, February 11, the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations
signed an agreement between the governments of Russia and South
Ossetia on the prevention and elimination of emergency situations. The
document was signed by the head of the Russian Ministry for Emergency
Situations, Sergei Shoigu and his South Ossetian counterpart, Anatoly
Bibilov, Res reports.
The Russian Emergencies Ministry will prepare a plan of cooperation
for two years in the framework of the agreement. In particular, the
Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia will provide assistance in
coping with the aftermath of the emergency situation.
