A strong earthquake was registered today in eastern Turkish province of Mush. Earth tremors were observed three times - at 5.1 on the Richter scale at 10:14 am local time, 3.7 points at 11:08 and 4.5 points at 11:16, 1news.az reports, quoting Turkish media.
The tremors caused panic among the residents of Mush. The consequences of the earthquake have been particularly severe in rural areas, where the buildings are made of clay bricks.
