The police and prosecution of Kuban have closed 95 illegal casinos in Krasnodar Territory, RIA Novosti cites the local prosecution as saying on Thursday.
116 cases against gambling were initiated. 8 notes on forbidding and closing gambling centers were submitted.
One casino was in the form of an Internet-club in Ust-Labinsk. It was exposed on February 21. 25 gambling machines were confiscated.
The law forbidding gambling came into force on July 1, 2009. All gambling zones were to close or be relocated to special gambling zones in Primorye, Altay Territory, Kaliningrad Region or Kuban.
There are still illegal casinos and gambling centers operating in various Russian regions.
