According to 1news.az, citing Azerbaijani Ministry of Education, the
Baku branch was registered in the Ministry of Justice of Azerbaijan in
1996, licensed in 2002 by Russia's Ministry of Science and Education.
It received a special license on 19 November 2007 from the Azerbaijani
Ministry of Education.
The Azerbaijani Ministry of Education created a special working group
to inspect education process in the Baku branch. The group found out
that after obtaining the license the branch's financial-technical
basis had weakened.
The working group decided to cancel the license obtained on 19
November 2007. The Minister of Education Misir Mardanov signed the
order. The university will stop work on September 1 2010 to give
students an opportunity to gain degrees.
