Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev signed a decree on Wednesday to commemorate Nikolai Constantinovich Baibakov, the president’s website says.
One of Baku’s streets will be named after Baibakov. A bust of Baibakov will be built in front of school N67 in Sabunchin District. A memorial plate will be installed near the administration building of the Balakhanyneft office of SOCAR.
The Ministry of Industry and Energy and the Ministry of Education were ordered to hold a conference on the work of Baibakov, together with SOCAR. The Cabinet was ordered to solve other issues related to the initiative.
Azerbaijan will mark the 100th anniversary of the Hero of Socialist Labor, Nikolai Baibakov, on March 6, 2011.
