The Moscow City Court has jailed four nationalists, 19-year old Andrey Gordeyev, Constantine Kucher, Vladislav Polyakov and 23-year old Anton Vasilyev, for organizing blasts and murders in Moscow.
A gang headed by Vasilyev, a graduate from a vocational school, was committing crims in August 2008 – January 2009. Vasilyev and Polyakov were organizing blasts at markets using self-made bombs. The only blast without injuries was at the Kury-Gril stand near Petrovsko-Razumovskaya subway station.
Their blasts at Petrovsko-Razumovsky, Lianozovsky and Tushinsky markets killed a total of 10 people, including a child.
Gazeta.ru says that Vasilyev was sentenced to 22 years of maximum security colony, Kucher – to 13 years, Gordeyev – 10 years, Polyakov – 9 years of standard regime colony. They need to pay 1.1 million rubles as compensation for treatment of the injured.
Investigation said that the gang killed 4 and attempted to kill 11 migrants and had 3 burglaries from December 26, 2008, to January 19, 2009. They were accused of killing citizens from Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Cameroon and attacked 7 citizens from China and Korea. They attacked three citizens of Cape Verde and Gabon.
Kucher poured gas on two Koreans on the Street of Academian Volgin on January 3, 2009. Vasilyev set them on fire, Gordeyev was recording them. Vasilyev and Kucher stabbed Jambarov at Tulskaya subway station 22 times.
