Russians are commemorating the victims of the terrorist attack at Domodedovo airport today. The blast killed 37 people. Three people were charged for organizing the terrorist attack.
The blast at the international terminal of the airport happened on January 24 at 16.32. 36 people, including citizens of Russia, Ukraine, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Austria, the UK and Germany were killed. 193 people were injured.
The Moscow authorities are paying compensation to the injured. Two people have received compensation, according to information on March 1. The mayor’s office says that the compensation process is slow, due to the need to collect all the necessary documents.
20 families of those killed have received compensation. Each family whose relative was killed in the blast received 2 million rubles from the city budget, gravely injured citizens received 1.5 million rubles and the lightly injured – 1 million rubles.
The Russian government ordered payments to families of the dead to be increased to 3 million rubles, the gravely injured – 1.9 million rubles and the lightly injured – 1.2 million rubles.
The investigation has charged three suspects, the brother and sister of the suspected suicide-bomber, Magomed Yevloyev, and Umar Aushev.
