Mud volcano erupts in Azerbaijan’s Gobustan District

The Shikhzayirlin mud volcano erupted in Azerbaijan’s Gobustan District on Sunday, the website of the Emergencies Ministry said on Monday.

Mud was thrown 50 m high. Specialists and rescuers were sent to the area. The volcano is throwing mud 1-2 meters high. There are cracks around the crater. The volcano is not a threat to the population.
