Cossack issue discussed in North Caucasus

Yessentyki held a session of the North Caucasus Federal District commission with the Council on Cossack issues under the president of Russia.

The participants of the session discussed results of last year and develop plans for 2011. One of the main goals is extension of Cossacks representation in bodies of local and regional governments. The other direction of activity is cooperation with public Cossacks organizations.

It was admitted that work with young people wasn’t sufficient last year. It was suggested to establish Cossack communities of young people in the Youth Council of the North Caucasus.
