The Grand Mufti of the Caucasus Allahshukur Pashazadeh is on a visit to the North Caucasus, Trend reports.
Pashazadeh’s delegation took part in founding a new religious complex in Nalchik, the capital of Kabardino-Balkaria. He said that he is proud of the construction of the education center where the Caucasus youth will study Islam.
The delegation took part in the 8th assembly in Cherkessk. Pashazadeh noted the importance of improving efforts of political, social and religious figures in their fight against extremism, radicalism and terrorism.
The delegation took part in a Muslim meeting. Pashazadeh proposed sending a letter of appreciation to the Russian government for attention paid to Muslims of the North Caucasus.
Gajimurad Gatsalov was elected unanimously as Muslim leader of North Ossetia.
