Pyatigorsk will install 40 surveillance cameras this year, RIA Novosti cites the head of the public security department of Pyatigorsk Victor Pesotsky as saying on Tuesday.
The cameras will be an experiment on the most active streets.
A security system will be established in 2012-2015.
All information from the cameras will be collected by a single center, Pesotsky said.
