Chechen Mufti Sultan Haji Mirzayev has held a meeting with religious figures from Dagestan.
Magomed Magomedov, chairman of the religious council of imams of Chechnya living at Dagestan’s Khasavyurt, Samad Machayev, imam from the Balyurt village of Khasavyurt and founder of the Islamic Institute in Khasavyurt, Alimsultan Saritov, imam of Zarechka village of Khasavyurt and a teacher at the Islamic Institute, Salavdi Bekhiyev, representative of a youth organization in Dagestan, Bilal Aliskhanov, assistant of the mufti of Dagestan, and others took part in the meeting.
Mirzayev thanked the delegation for their work with the youth in Dagestan, Grozny-Inform reports.
Bilal Aliskhanov thanked the Chechen authorities for their support. He said that the work of Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov and Chechen Mufti Sultan Haji Mirzayev is a good example for others.
A program on explanatory work and theme discussions related to fighting extremism was developed last year. Efforts were put into preventing youth from joining illegal armed formations.
Mirzayev concluded the meeting saying that he will support a conference with young participants in Dagestan.
