Leader of the North Caucasus militants Doku Umarov may have been killed in a special operation in Ingushetia, Rossiyskaya Gazeta and Kommersant report.
Rossiyskaya Gazeta says that the main goal of the operation was the elimination of Umarov. It started in autumn when the police received information that the militant leader was hiding in the Sunzhensky District of Ingushetia.
