The police of Georgia have prevented a series of terrorist attacks in Kutaisi, the country’s second largest city. Three citizens are said to have been detained, ITAR-TASS reports.
Mnuchar Dzadzua and his first cousin, Avtandil Dzadzua, both from Gali, were detained in Zugdidi. The police confiscated explosives and a detonator from Manuchar Dzadzua. The detained citizens said that they planned to blow up the mayor’s office and the administrative building of the Imereti Region. Another terrorist attack was planned at the Justice Center and the Kutaisi office of the Georgian Labor Party.
The third citizen detained is Kalistrate Malania from Zugdidi District. He was helping Dzadzua bring explosives from Gali to the Zugdidi District. The Ministry of the Interior published a video of their testimony.
