Floods caused by heavy rain have hit the Dagestan town of Mamedkala, some 100 kms from the republic's capital of Makhachkala, Russia's Emergencies ministry said.
The floods affected 210 houses and led to evacuations. An emergency centre has been opened in the region.
Gas and electricity supplies are continuing.
