Azerbaijan has established an interactive education system, sinif.az. The portal was created by a group of Azerbaijani scientists and software specialists to establish a platform for distance school learning, Trend reports.
The resource includes a secondary and advanced secondary school education program, testing, an electronic record book and other features.
The system covers grades 5-11. It contains over 40% of the education materials for each grade. The school program for grades 5-11 will be ready by the end of this year. The system will be available for grades 1-4 in early 2012.
The interactive portal enables testing for higher educational centers. There are 4 groups of exams consisting of 125 questions (700 points). Analysis of mistakes will contribute to preparations for entrance exams.
There are also logical tests to determine intellect levels.
The sinif.az portal is planned to be expanded and involve the higher education system. It will meet world standards for interactive education and the Bologna Process.
Using audio and video files, presentations and other features will improve studies for students and pupils. Parents will be able to monitor their children’s studies. Teachers will be able to use the materials. Sinif.az has some 300 pupils and applicants for universities.
