Severe hurricane winds have hit Western Georgia, Gruzia Online reports. The hurricane has struck several towns in the region including Poti, where the damage is the greatest. 15 multi-storied and 10 private houses were damaged.
No one was reported injured. Due to damage to the transmission facilities, Poti is now without power supplies.
In the town of Zugdidi the hurricane lead to a fire, which has now been extinguished.
