Pensioner accused of cutting off Internet in Armenia, Georgia

A 75-year-old woman has been accused of damaging the fibre optic cable line of Telecom Railways that supplies Internet connections to Armenia and some regions of Georgia, Georgia's Interior Ministry said.
 
According to ministry official Zurab Gvenetadze the woman has admitted her guilt. She said was looking for copper in the ground in the Ksani village of Mtskheta district and accidentally damaged the Telecom Railways fibre-optic cable.

The fibre-optic backbone delivers internet from Europe to Georgia, Armenia and Azerbaijan.
