Grove of Angels to be planted in Beslan

Tomorrow, April 8, Beslan will host the Grove of Angels ceremony, in memory of victims of the terrorist attack in Beslan in 2004, Yuga.ru reports.

The event will gather young people from Kabardino-Balkaria, North Ossetia, as well as representatives of public organizations and authorities. The organizers of the campaign are the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Work with Public Associations of Kabardino-Balkaria together with the Ministry of Public and External Relations of North Ossetia.

The participants of the action will lay the foundation of the Grove of Angels and plant 334 trees to commemorate the victims of the terrorist attack.

On September 1, 2004, a group of militants captured school number 1 in Beslan. Until September 3, the terrorists held more than a thousand hostages. 334 people were killed during the attack, including 186 children.
