CSTO council organizes unscheduled session after Minsk terrorist attack

The Council of Plenipotentiary Representatives of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) have gathered for an unscheduled session over the terrorist attack at the Oktyabrskaya subway station in Minsk, press-secretary of the CSTO Vladimir Zaynetdinov said, Interfax reports.


The blast at Oktyabrskaya subway station happened on Monday evening. 12 people died and 149 were injured. 22 of them are in grave condition. There are two Russians among the injured and an Armenian citizen, Saakyan Samvel Erikovich, News Armenia cites the press-secretary of the Armenian Foreign Ministry, Tigran Balayan, as saying.


The Belarusian Defense Ministry said that up to 157 people were hospitalized, and 26 of them are in a grave condition.
