The first Cultural Forum on the state support of national minorities of the North Caucasus will be held in Grozny on April 14-17.
The participants are representatives of Dagestan, Ingushetia, Chechnya, Kabardino-Balkaria, Karachaevo-Cherkessia, North Ossetia and the Stavropol Territory.
One of the main goals of the forum is developing key directions of government support of traditional cultures of many ethnic groups living in Russia. Moreover, the initiators stress the necessity of cultural ties, friendship and interrelations, the forming of inter-ethnic ties and inter-religious tolerance and so on.
Within the forum, a conference on governmental support of the North Caucasus minority culture as a part of the strengthening of inter-ethnic relations will take place.
