One police officer died and three were wounded in a special operation in Grozny in which two militants of Doku Umarov were killed, ITAR-TASS reports.
The militants were surrounded in two apartments in the Zavodsky District.
Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov said earlier that the militants had been identified. They are Musa Tashtamirov from Selsky District and Bekhan Musayev from Naursky District. They were under the command of militant leader Said-Emi Dadayev.
