Ingush president appreciates success in stabilizing the Republic

The situation in the Ingush Republic is still tense, although
law-enforcement authorities are doing everything possible to stabilize
it, and there have already been significant advances in this sphere,
said Ingush President Unus-Bek Evkurov, reports RIA Novosti.
"The republic's law-enforcement authorities have recently carried out
several successful operations, particularly, confiscating large stores
of explosives and weapons, an accomplice of the militants was arrested
today, and the militant leader Grdanov was also eliminated", the
Ingush President remarked.
"There is no doubt that these operations are very effective, the
Special Forces and intelligence services are involved in them to
provide safety in the republic, especially on the eve of the Victory
Day holiday, which I hope won't be overshadowed by any incident",
Evkurov said.
He also noted that all law enforcement services have been working
under a special regime since April 20th.
"Of course, we will pay special attention to providing safety in the
glorious war-time city of Malgobek, which will host the main
celebrations", Evkurov said.
The President called on the republic's citizens to stay on the alert.
